Multi-DC Systems Strategy and Mi9
Adding a second distribution center and moving to a flow-through model prompted this off-price retailer to completely review their systems. How could they leverage Mi9’s full set of allocation and replenishment capabilities in the new environment? They’d need to match best practices to make it work.
First, BRP was brought in to perform a gap analysis between the retailer’s existing Mi9 allocation and replenishment environment and industry best practices. BRP then looked at the planned multi-DC systems requirements, assessing options for vendors and solutions to handle the increased complexity.
BRP’s research and insights on best practices enabled the client to prepare effectively for its complex new distribution ecosystem. They established a plan that would keep Mi9 as the core merchandising system while serving as the central data provider to additional integrated systems.
