POS Strategic Assessment
This retailer, a subsidiary of a large paint company, needed to replace its aging POS system, but it first wanted to identify specific opportunities for functionality improvements. First, they would address the existing system, then they would move on to determine the requirements for the selection process.
BRP began working with the retailer by documenting current in-store business processes and discussing future needs with company executives. BRP analyzed the feature set of the existing POS system and developed requirements for enhancements and for the new system as well.
With the recommendations in hand, including detailed requirements and functional specifications, the retailer’s executive management was well prepared to move forward. They were able to address the need for enhancements to the existing POS system and create an RFP (Request for Proposal) for the new POS selection process.
