Process Improvement and POS Training
This group of over 700 campus bookstores, wanted to assess its store operations from a process and systems standpoint, in search of efficiency gains. Follett also needed a cost-effective way to train store employees in all fifty states on its new POS system.
BRP compared the retailer’s store operations with best practices at leading retailers, identifying quick wins and explaining their implementation strategy for prioritized issues. The plans included a risk assessment for each recommendation. For training, BRP introduced an innovative two-day conference concept with a detailed training approach.
Through its process analysis and best-practice comparisons, BRP delivered efficiency gains to the retailer’s store operations. The centralized conference for training provided an extremely fast way to teach the essentials of the new POS system to all key store personnel.
