SISP and Unified Commerce Strategy
This regional furniture store chain needed to understand how to use technology as a strategic advantage, both online and in its stores concentrated in California, Nevada, and Arizona. They wanted a workable plan that would allow them to move toward aligning their systems with their business vision for the future.
BRP first sought to understand the retailer’s vision by interviewing C-level executives, directors, and sales associates. By developing a SISP (Strategic Information Systems Plan), BRP would enable them to transition from their existing business practices to their vision via a detailed implementation roadmap to introduce new systems and processes.
The retailer used BRP’s SISP to kick off its move toward unified commerce, employing BRP’s strategies for organizational change strategy as well. They identified additional opportunities for increasing sales, improving margin, and realizing cost savings. The retailer tapped BRP again later for selection and implementation planning projects.
